We Really Appreciate a Good Challenge

Here at Surfside Web we keep our focus on innovation and building great projects that fit both our inhouse needs as well as the needs of our customer partners. We do this by applying our 40+ years of data science to the whiteboard to fill the real life, or real business, hurdles our partners work with every day. With the slowing of business throughout the Covid pandemic, we’ve been able to concentrate a little more on growing these projects.  Aside from website design and SEO that have kept us in the positive, we’ve worked really hard to bring these special projects to life. We conceive and build API technology that embraces the interoperable nature of today’s online experience, while refining it to build for our smaller localized Grand Strand community.

Grand Strand API

The Grand Strand API

At the surface of our technology one will find the Grand Strand API.  The GSAPI is the foundation and gateway to the entire data region, collecting information on businesses, events, fuel prices, news and educational schedules is in a future release.  The idea behind the API is to build upon what many data aggregators have done but with our own twist.  It’s not technically aggregated data for one, and all information once discovered is purified by inviting the owners of the resource to join the realm and adjust their own information for FREE.  They just Claim Their Listing and become a part of the community.

We think that’s the primary aspect that makes the GSAPI different.  The systems and software have also been built to be portable, and self fulfilling allowing it to expand into other regions, states or maybe even the nation.  How far the project grows depends entirely on feedback from the community and so far that feedback has been very good.

What's Up Myrtle? App

What's Up Myrtle?

What started out as a simple resource for travelers to find info, quickly turned into more in What’s Up Myrtle? v2.1  It now sports the many features found below.  With businesses, events, fuel, news, and coupons it was already a pretty substantial travel app for the Myrtle Beach area.  Quickly we realized that it needed to have a place to save favorites and coupons and in order to do that we needed to add profiles to the app so that people could save their most traveled places and coupons where they could get to them at a later time.

Once we opened up the ability to add profiles we just couldn’t resist.  We had to add some social media features to make this the most comprehensive travel guide today.  You can now invite and save all of your friends.  Heading out and need the pack to meet you at a certain location they aren’t familiar with.  Send them all your location with a single click and watch them converge on your meeting, event or social gathering.   If somebody doesn’t make it then simply jump on the in app messaging system to start hearing those excuses.  “Well I can’t afford it!”   That’s when you forward them a coupon you could only download at What’s Up Myrtle?

Available now in the App Store and Google Play.  Stay tuned for rewards points and giveaways, as well as many other features planned for v2.2 as there will be many.

SWAGG Console

Swagg Web Console

As we started to reach out to businesses to let them know about the new GSAPI, we needed a way for our marketers to manage their telemarketing campaigns. So we put together a portion of our SWAGG (Surfside Web Aggregator) Console that allows our operators to manage their call queues and track their time.  The Operator console in SWAGG is quite unique allowing customers to receive just the important information about the program that they require, tracks call backs, tracks commissions, and a whole lot more.

Of course SWAGG is also the place where we manage the Category structure, Listings and Events entered by our technical and GSAPI management team.  The system has been put together to be modular in scope, and can easily accept new directives from our Discovery system.   I will cover the Discovery system a little more in the future once we get the okay from the patents attorney, but for now know that with just a couple GPS ordinances, a list of zip codes to cross reference, and 1 SEO customer in each main industry our AI and Discovery system can map out every resource within those areas.

On the world wide web you have 20 seconds to make a good impression.

Let the team at Surfside Web help you to make it a great one. You’ll be glad you did.
